Poems That Point to Who We Are :)

A Little WaveAs a little wave,
I climbed far up the shore,
But it was never enough,
I always wanted more.
I filled my life with hassle,
Striving to get to that sandcastle,
And once I did,
The goal posts slid,
Again.
The depths of the ocean,
The fear of the unknown,
Keeps little waves chasing, racing,
And dreaming above.
In truth,
Is it even possible to fear,
As the sea of love?

The Effortlessness of UndressingAt the end of the day we disrobe,
And as we drop into a sweet slumber,
We let everything go.
Why start a fresh day,
With a story gone sour,
Forgetting the now that we are?
Love is cloaked by a collection of concepts,
Veiled by attachments,
Beliefs, and judgements,
Hidden under layer upon layer,
Of the identities we wear,
Obscured by a mind,
That lies to survive,
Fearing the death of its false “I,”
It diverts from the effortlessness of undressing,
Passed all the things to do,
The somebody to be,
The flesh and the bones,
Right down, beyond the illusion,
Of a separate you and me.
Why cloud the moment,
With a story gone sour,
Forgetting the love that we are?

A Pebble Returns as the OceanTossed by tumultuous tides,
Collecting transient prizes,
Together with tiresome lives,
Filled with unending desires,
The more it tries or hides,
The harder the pebble is polished.
Until it surrenders,
And fades with the other lies,
Separation, otherness…
All drown in the grace of the tides,
Life rolls in as peaceful bliss,
Life is all that is.
Once upon a time,
Life felt stone cold,
But now suffering and other notions,
Dissolve in the silence,
From which laughter roars,
And breathing out a spacious sigh,
A pebble returns as the ocean.
